The first official photographic portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was taken by society photographer, Dorothy Wilding on 26 February 1952, just twenty days after The Accession. Festooned with diamonds and gold resembling fleur-de-lis and scroll patterns, The Queen is wearing the ‘Girls of Great Britain and Ireland’ diamond tiara, which was a wedding gift from Her grandmother, Queen Mary.
This mug has been handcrafted from English fine bone china and gilded with platinum.
