Trooping the Colour Silk Scarf
Proudly Handmade in England
Description
Trooping the Colour; an exhibition of military and musical excellence, which is usually celebrated on the second Saturday of June to mark the British Sovereign’s official birthday. The awe-inspiring traditional ceremony has been conducted annually since 1748 featuring over 200 horses, 400 musicians and 1400 parading soldiers, consisting of fully trained, operations troops from the Household Division, a group of seven army regiments.
Here, New York based illustrator Tug Rice has designed a playful and jubilant interpretation of this occasion. His work has been reproduced on a sumptuously soft, 100% silk, made in England silk scarf.
